Step 1: Unboxing of the 123 HP printer

  • Take out the user manual, power cord, USB cable, installation CD, ink cartridges from the box.

  • Remove all the protective tapes from the printer.


Step 2: Connect the power cord to the 123 HP printer

  • Don’t use any extension cord or voltage stabilizer to connect the printer.

  • Go to the control panel and set up the language, location, time zone, and date.


Step 3: Load the papers in HP printer

  • Firstly, pull the paper input and output tray and remove the packaging material from there.

  • Now, remove the protective tapes from the paper width and longitudinal markers.

  • Then, laid the new bundle of white papers in the paper input tray.

  • Tighten the sheets by dragging the marker. After that, close the paper tray.

  • HP printers support dual ink cartridges. Cyan, Magenta, and Yellow colors are used to make three-color black cartridges.

  • Remove the protective tapes and place the ink cartridges into their slots.

Step 5: Align the ink cartridges

  • You need to align the ink cartridges to avoid printing errors.

  • After alining the scanner, take the protective plate from the scanner glass and clean it.

  • Now, maintain the front alignment plate and make sure that you are placing the documents on the face of the scanner glass according to the alignment.

  • Select the ok option and then wait for the paper alignment.


Step 6: Download and install the printer drivers

  • Printer drivers play an important role in the setup of HP printers. Launch a web browser on your system and go to the official website of HP to download the printer drivers.

  • Enter the printer model number on the setup page and then click on the download link to download the printer drivers.

  • After successfully installing the drivers, follow all the on-screen instructions to complete the 123 HP printer setup.
